The Birtley MBL is a light-duty external wall lintel designed for use in applications such as meter boxes. It is constructed from mild steel and galvanized post-fabrication to provide superior protection against corrosion, enhancing its durability. Lintels above 1500mm must be propped during construction until the masonry is fully loaded and cured. Key Features : Application: Ideal for light-duty applications like meter boxes on external walls. Supergalv Coating: Hot-dip galvanized after fabrication, delivering up to 50% more zinc protection compared to other coatings for superior durability and corrosion resistance. Post-Fabrication Galvanizing: Protects all surfaces of the lintel, ensuring no areas are left with inferior paint protection. Fire Rating: Provides 60 minutes of fire resistance with a two-coat plaster finish.
