The Birtley CB50 is a standard-duty steel lintel designed for cavity walls with a cavity size of 50-65mm and an inner and outer leaf thickness of 100mm. This lintel is ideal for general masonry support but is not suitable for point loads or concrete floors . It is optimized for long-lasting performance with a post-fabrication hot-dip galvanizing process, providing enhanced protection against corrosion. Thermal Bridging: The lintel’s design lacks a baseplate and factory-fitted insulation, reducing thermal bridging. Fire Rating: Provides 60 minutes of fire resistance when finished with a two-coat plaster system.
